A wine inventory app for the bottles at home

The good bottle is somewhere. The question is which shelf, which box and which vintage. A little overview makes choosing the next one a pleasure.

Wine knowledge / A wine inventory app for the bottles at home

A wine inventory app keeps a record of your wines, vintages, bottle counts and storage locations. Add personal tasting notes and you can return to the bottles you enjoyed. CellarMemo brings that information together for your wines at home.

What should you record?

Start with the producer, wine name, vintage, number of bottles and where they are stored. Those details answer the everyday questions: what do I have, how much is left, and where can I find it?

Add the information that matters to you as you go. Grape varieties, origin, purchase information and your own notes can help distinguish similar bottles. Keep uncertain label details ready for checking against the producer or supplier.

One home, familiar locations

Your collection might live in a wine cabinet, a fridge and a box in the spare room. Name those locations as you would describe them to someone at home. “Wine cabinet, lower shelf” is easier to follow than a code you have to keep looking up.

CellarMemo organises the collection around a home and its storage locations. Shared household features let authorised members work with that home’s collection according to their role. Your personal tasting notes have their own place alongside it.

Keep the count useful

When you bring home a purchase, record its bottles and location together. When you open one, update the stock. A brief routine saves a surprisingly long search when dinner is already on the table.

A tasting note is a separate record. You can note a wine you tried elsewhere as a guest wine, with the place and occasion, and keep it in your tasting history. This makes the app useful for the bottles you enjoyed as well as the bottles you own.

Bring your favourite labels into view

A label image makes a bottle easier to recognise. You can add your own photo and keep the front and back of the label in their places. Label scanning and the scan list help organise information before you decide what to do with a wine.

AI recognition is an optional paid feature. An AI bundle gives you extra label recognitions. After recognition, you review the details before saving them.

Keep an overview you enjoy using

Begin with the bottles you have now. Add purchases as they arrive, keep locations familiar and let your tasting notes tell the story. A collection becomes much more useful when you can find a wine and remember why you chose it.
